Trend Rocket Review: Is It Worth It?

Today, I’ll be doing a Trend Rocket review.

Finding winning products to sell online is hard, and scaling them to millions of dollars is even more challenging…

Trend Rocket is a DTC intelligence tool that makes it easy to find, produce, and market the right products.

It was created by successful eCommerce entrepreneur Davie Fogarty (founder of The Oodie).

But… is Trend Rocket the best eCommerce analytics tool?

Is Trend Rocket worth it?

Let’s find out in this Trend Rocket review!

What is Trend Rocket?

Trend Rocket review

Trend Rocket is a DTC Intelligence Platform that helps you “Find Million Dollar Products In Seconds.”

Using Trend Rocket, you can spy on your competitors to find their most profitable channels, ad copy, and landing pages.

This tool is for eCommerce stores still searching for a winning product but also for stores already selling at scale.

As I said earlier, Trend Rocket was created by Davie Fogarty, so it makes sense that his well-established brands, The Oodie, Calming Blankets, and Pupnaps, are using this eCommerce analytics tool.

Let’s continue this Trend Rocket review by looking at its features.

Trend Rocket Features

Trending Brands

trending brands

Trend Rocket’s first feature is the Trending Brands page.

This page will show you brands that are rising quickly and have significant momentum. You can see two metrics, Scaling Score and Revenue Score.

Scaling Score tracks brand growth on social channels month over month. Each brand gets a score from 1-100 compared to other brands.

Revenue Score measures traffic, product, and conversion data. Like the Scaling Score, each brand gets a score from 1-100 compared to other brands.

If one of these brands looks interesting, you can click “learn more” to get more in-depth analytics.

Search

Trend rocket search brands

Trend Rocket has another feature where you can search through their database of 7,000+ e-commerce stores.

You can sort these brands by Scaling Score, Revenue Score, and Facebook Likes. You can also change the period to 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days.

You can add basic filters such as Country, Scaling Score, and Revenue to narrow your search results. They also have more advanced filters as well…

trend rocket filter by social

The Social Filter allows you to filter by:

  • Reddit Mentions

  • Facebook Likes

  • Facebook Likes Growth

  • Instagram Followers

  • Instagram Followers Growth

This will help you find brands that are growing rapidly on social media. These metrics also factor into the Scaling Score that I went over earlier.

trend rocket filter by reviews

They also have a Review Filter that allows you to filter by:

  • Trustpilot Reviews

  • Trustpilot Reviews 30 Days

  • Facebook Reviews

  • Facebook Reviews 30 Days

  • Shopify Reviews

  • Shopify Reviews 30 Days

This will help you find brands that have recently received tons of reviews. Any brand getting tons of reviews on Shopify is clearly doing something right, so you should try learning from them.

trend rocket filter by facebook ads

Trend Rocket also has a Facebook Ads Filter, which allows you to filter by:

  • Facebook Ads Count

  • Facebook Ads Growth 30 days

  • Active Facebook Ads

  • Active Facebook Ads Running 30+ Days

This filter lets you find brands that are profitably spending money on Facebook ads. Spying on Facebook ads is always helpful, so you should do it as much as possible.

trend rocket filter by store metrics

They also have a Store Filter that lets you filter by:

  • Estimated Monthly Traffic

  • Estimated Monthly Orders

  • Estimated Monthly Revenue

As you might be able to tell, these are just estimates. I’d guess they do some basic math involving conversion rate and average selling price to figure out monthly orders and revenue.

trend rocket filter by products

The last filter Trend Rocket has is the Products Filter. This lets you filter by:

  • Number of Products

  • Product Price Minimum

  • Product Price Average

  • Product Price Maximum

  • New Products Last 30 Days

This can help you find brands that are rapidly testing new products. Or you can change the product price to find high-ticket dropshipping products.

Analytics

trend rocket analytics

Trend Rocket provides in-depth analytics on each eCommerce brand on its platform.

The first analytics they have for us is the Review Velocity Tracker.

This tracks and shows the number of reviews this brand has across multiple platforms like Trustpilot, Facebook, and Shopify.

It’s nice to see the total number of reviews, but I would have liked to have seen an average rating over time.

Also, this Shopify store uses Judge.me for their reviews, but I recommend Loox.

trend rocket social media analytics

You can also see analytics for each brand’s social media pages (Facebook and Instagram).

This makes it easy to see how fast or slow a brand’s social media presence is growing.

You can also see how many active Facebook ads the brand has over time, which is incredibly valuable.

trend rocket facebook ads analytics

Speaking of Facebook ads… Trend Rocket also provides tons of analytics on a brand’s Facebook ad campaigns.

You can see Lifetime Ad Count, Lifetime Unique Ad Count, Active Ads, and Inactive Ads.

It’s also very easy to see which country a brand targets in its ads.

On top of that, they show you each Facebook ad creative that the brand uses! You don’t need to use a spy tool to find their ads.

trend rocket google ads analytics

The next set of analytics that Trend Rocket provides is for Google Ads.

They show each keyword a brand pays for and what landing page they’re sending the traffic to.

You can also see other valuable metrics such as Keyword Difficulty, Position, Traffic, CPC, and Results.

This data will be incredibly valuable if your e-commerce store is advertising on Google or Facebook.

trend rocket traffic and revenue analytics

Another thing we can analyze is the monthly traffic and revenue for each brand.

We can see estimates for Monthly Traffic, Average Product Price, Monthly Orders, and Monthly Revenue.

The chart of monthly visits makes it easy to see which direction a store is trending.

For example, there was a huge traffic spike in July, so this brand must have been running a promotion or had a post go viral…

trend rocket product analytics

The last set of analytics Trend Rocket provides for us is on Products and Prices.

They show you numerous stats such as the number of products, first published product, last published product, average price, and more.

There’s also a chart showing the price range for each product… For this brand, we can tell that most of their products sell for $500+.

Trend Viability Report

trend viability report

For each brand, you can unlock a Trend Viability Report (limited amount per plan).

There’s a lot of overlap with the analytics I went over earlier, so I’ll go over the new parts.

The first thing you get is a brand description and some basic information on market trends.

trend viability paid ads profile

They show the same analytics for reviews and traffic but also include something new, the Paid Advertising Profile.

This lets you see which platforms the brand has an advertising pixel set up for. You can also see if they were running ads before and if they’re currently running ads.

If a brand has run ads before but isn’t currently running ads, that might be a sign that it wasn’t profitable for them.

trend rocket google ads report

Previously, Trend Rocket provided keywords that the brand targets on Google Ads.

But in the Trend Viability Report, they show us the exact ad that the brand is using for each keyword.

They also show Facebook ads and product analysis, but you could see that without this report.

Trend Rocket Pricing
